Tricor Metals recently fabricated a full-scale prototype of the titanium-alloy support structure that will be part of NASA’s Solar Probe Plus (SPP) spacecraft. SPP will be built and operated by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD.
Tricor Metals has been awarded the contract to build the 2nd phase prototype and final flight titanium-alloy support structure that will be part of SPP. Tricor also built the 1st stage
prototype.
