We are proud to announce that our Chuck Young, Business Development Manager and Metallurgist, has recently been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Materials Technology Institute (MTI). MTI is a technical organization that offers world-wide meetings and a knowledge forum for the exchange of technical information related to the effective use of materials in the Chemical Process Industry. Major chemical producers and suppliers to the CPI work together to solve industry-wide technical issues.
Chuck has been Tricor’s representative at MTI since 2011 and has served on numerous technical committees dealing with Corrosion and Corrosion Resistant Alloys (titanium, tantalum, nickel alloys, and duplex stainless steel). Chuck is also currently serving as Champion of the TAC Bulletin Committee for MTI and has been responsible for the development of at least 7 new technical awareness bulletins on a variety of subjects for MTI members in the past 3 years.
Chuck is also the Chairman of the Global Industrial Products Committee of the International Titanium Association (ITA).
Chuck has been with Tricor Metals for over 9 years and manages the business development/field sales staff, as well as being the company Metallurgist, responsible for handling any technical questions concerning the corrosion resistant metals that Tricor fabricates for the Chemical Processing Industry
